长期从事信息化合物介导的“寄主植物-害虫-伴生真菌-细菌”多物种互作及共生入侵机制的研究。以重大外来入侵种红脂大小蠹和松材线虫等重大外来入侵种为研究对象,利用化学生态学、分子生物学和组学等技术为手段揭示多物种间化学通讯及其分子调控机理,并以此为基础研发害虫导向性防控技术。
在Nature Communications、Annual Review of Entomology、Annual Review of Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics、Current Biology、Microbiome、ISME Journal 、New Phytologist、Ecology等SCI期刊论文130余篇;已获授权国家发明专利18项,行业标准1项。一些代表性论文入选F1000,或得到Nature、Nature China、American Scientist、National Geograph 等评述或封面论文等。
